i-D-#-#-#-+-+-J is a multidisciplinary artistic project which explores the theory held by Marshall McLuhan in the 20th century that, through electronic media, the West was changing its predominance in the use of the left hemisphere to the right. This exploration is conveyed through the first video games and the emergence of the modern role, without becoming bogged down in nostalgia and making connections between the present and the past. The title is intentionally unintelligible and unpronounceable, a nod to the hypothesis defended by Umberto Eco in La Edad Media ha comenzado ya that we were returning to conditions similar to the Middle Ages; more specifically, that the elites live in the world of text and logic while mass culture is dominated by the propaganda and mass distribution of images.
